About Daniel

Mr. Smith is an experienced real estate acquisition and financing counselor and creative problem solver with 22 years of experience as an attorney, including six years serving as general counsel for a group of privately held companies. Mr. Smith’s love of real estate started by assisting his father, a Register of Deeds, in the deed room at an early age. Mr. Smith continued his practical education in real estate by working for a survey company in Northern Michigan and learning the basics on conducting surveys and converting the data in CAD/CAM into a survey map. Mr. Smith then attended Wayne State University obtaining a degree in History and Wayne State Law School to earn his J.D. in 1998. After Law School graduation, Mr. Smith worked as an attorney, with a focus in real estate, in and around the Detroit area for ten years. During that time, Mr. Smith handled a broad spectrum of real estate matters from title and residential closing work to multi-million dollar financing and litigation. In 2008, Mr. Smith moved to Kentucky to serve as General Counsel for an international company. As General Counsel, Mr. Smith (i) lead the acquisition, sale and financing of forty-three distinct entities and properties, spanning seven countries and three continents during the height of the global recession, with a transaction value of over Eight Hundred Million Dollars, and (ii) established, developed and nurtured relationships with multiple sources of funding including, but not limited to, equity investors, bank officers and investment bankers. In 2015, Mr. Smith established the law firm of Smith, O’Toole & Brooke with offices in Lexington, KY, and Richmond, KY. During this time, Mr. Smith has closed thousands of residential transactions and several commercial transactions as well as litigated dozens of real estate issues, including, but not limited to, boundary disputes, title issues, probate matters and property loss issues. Mr. Smith moved to Melbourne, Florida in late 2020 and has established a Jett Title branch location there. Mr. Smith is a licensed Florida title agent.

About Kathy

Kathy was born and raised in Southern California, and she lived in Northern California until her move to Georgetown, Kentucky in 2006. Kathy was a Real Estate Broker since 1986 in California and then continued her career within the title and escrow industry.

Kathy has a daughter, son-in-law and two amazing grandchildren which of course is why she moved to Kentucky, her forever home.

She enjoys reading, gardening, walking, watching all sports (of course an avid UK fan), playing with her dog and spending time with her grandkids.

Trahnel is originally from California and currently a resident of Georgetown, KY for over 16 years. She has several years of California Real Estate experience that she brings to the Title table. Trahnel Graduated with an Associates Degree in Business Administration from College of the Canyons. When not working, Trahnel Enjoys running, hiking, reading and baking. Trahnel and her husband have been married for 19 years and have two children, ages 15 & 17.

About Emily

Emily is a native of London, Kentucky. She attended North Laurel High School and later the University of Kentucky, College of Agriculture, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Community and Leadership Development and Political Science. Emily then obtained her Juris Doctor at the University of Kentucky, College of Law in 2019. Through the course of her legal career, Emily has worked extensively on real estate matters. Emily works for Jett Title as a closing agent and enjoys building relationships through her position with Jett Title customers across the state. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her two dogs Jack and Blue.
